Pacific Outreach Health Fair Sacramento

VN CARES would like to give a big shout out and thank you to all the volunteers, students, and pharmacists that extended their support and help in this year's Pacific Outreach Health Fair in Sacramento. The event was a huge success and it was all due to everyone who came out. We were able to give a total of 634 screenings and services which included blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, A1C, BMD, memory decline, anemia, hepatitis B, immunizations, BMI, and smoking cessation and helped a total of 290 patients! We are proud that this is one of the health fairs that extends beyond Stockton and we were able to make such a big impact to the community of Sacramento.

Making Strides Collaboration w/ ACSC

The VN CARES team and ACSC would like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone from UOP who donated and was able to join the annual Making Strides Walk for breast cancer in Sacremento, CA. With 55 participants, we were able to raise 461$ which was donated to the American Cancer Society. We wouldn't have been able to raise such an amount without the help of the students, so we once again thank you to everyone who participated in the event!
It was a successful collaboration with ACSC and we look forward to future events and collaborations!

Pacific Outreach Health Fair San Jose

The VN CARES team would like to extend the BIGGEST THANK YOU to all the preceptors, UOP pharmacy students, UOP VN CARES undergrad chapter, SJSU volunteers, sponsors, and vendors for making the Pacific Outreach Health Fair another year of success! With your hard work and dedication, we were able to help more than 150 members of the San Jose community get free health screenings and health education. We provided over 200 total screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, bone mineral density, memory decline, anemia, and body mass index screenings!
This would not have been possible without your continued support and enthusiasm. We look forward to serving the community at our future events!
